Immusion Convert
ImmusionConvert provides the simplest way to create a web model from an existing 3D model. It's as easy as 1-2-3:
- Import a 3D Model: Many model formats are supported, including Collada (*.dae) and OBJ (*.obj) Models.
- Adjust display settings (optional): Immusion gives you a number of options to help you control how your web model renders.
- Export a Web Model: Save the web model and copy it to your web server.
Significant testing has been conducted using models that have come from the following sources:
- Google Sketchup: an application that provides a simple interface for building compelling models and (optionally) applying image textures to those models. The basic application is free to use and there is an Pro version that is available for sale. Both versions allow users to export collada model files which ImmusionConvert can easily convert into an interactive web model that can be embedded into a webpage.
- NextEngine Laser Scanner: a cost effective laser scanner which allows users to automatically generate photo-realistic CAD models from real world objects. The scanner's software can export a textured model in the OBJ format which ImmusionConvert can easily convert into an interactive web model that can be embedded into a webpage.

Immusion On-line (beta)
New in May 2011. You can now upload your models to our on-line conversion system and see the results. Currently, this service is in beta and does not offer all of the features available in our desktip applications.
Immusion Create
ImmusionCreate differs from ImmusionConvert in that it provides functionality for users to fuse images onto a model before exporting it as a web model. The animation below illustrates the basic ImmusionCreate workflow, which typically involves the following steps:
- Import a CAD model: Immusion can directly import a wide variety of model formats including OBJ, OSG, Inventor, VRML and Collada.
- Import/Fuse Image(s) [optional]: Immusion can directly import a wide variety of image formats including GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF and BMP. Users can skip this step if they are only interested in the model's geometry.
- Save/Export Model: Immusion projects can be saved to disk or they can be exported into an interactive web model that can be embedded into a webpage using our custom web model viewing applet.
